Is anyone else noticing an increase in burnout among beauty and lifestyle creators?
As an influencer marketing expert, it is harder to sustain as a creator than ever before because brand partnerships are on the rise. More opportunities, less time to rest.
The tricky part is the "Super Bowl" for brand partnerships in holiday is quickly approaching. It can turn up the pressure… BUT you risk taking on brand partnerships that are NOT aligned when you are burned out.
I am an advocate for creators so I thought it might help to share some ways to help.
💥Here are 3 pointers to help influencers navigate holiday brand deals. 💥
1. Be selective 🙅🏻♀️. While it may be tempting to use October - December (aka Q4) as a cash grab, you should be cautious. Audience trust is everything, and losing your credibility is not worth it. If you have a dream collaboration in mind, now is the time to reach out (trust me on this, as I'm currently choosing partners through January).
2. Create a system ⚡️ The average percentage of sponsored content on your feed should be less than 30%. Brands and your audience will be turned off if you constantly post # ad in every other post.
3. Communication is key ✍️. Time is of the essence during holiday, and agencies are quick to demand quick turnarounds. Before you sign on the dotted line, ask brands for their campaign timeline and, if necessary, request an extension.
